Rushed home fm work - got invitation for the Silver Screen Awards presentation : 19th Singapore Film festival at National Museum....
Gosh! I've never made so many trips to NM in my whole life as I've made this week !
The show - ok lah... hosted by Wong Li Lin
The awards were given away by many chinese actors, actresses & directors...
The sad part - WHERE's our Malay Directors ? None of the Singapore Short Films competed are made by Malay directors - All Chinese !! or only those selected are made by Chinese... ??
Common lah 69 films submitted, I wondered if any are made by Non-Chinese... or only the 9 finalist selected are C ? Mmmphh I wonder... forget to ask them on that day... !
Anyway, managed to chat with Riri Reza, the Indonesian director for 'Gie'. Nice guy... But I didn't manage to catch this film last week .. heard it's good. I'm happy for him that he won the Jury's Award.
Ok, we didn't stay too long after that.... after the yum-yum, they were playing like those deafening music in the theater... so, me & hb... CIAO !

Wanted to get some new T-shirts for my baby... he's outgrown most of the ones he have... My baby is growing too fast... Boo hoo.... :(
10.30am - We headed to Isetan-Tampines (hv to go early on Sat morning - not so packed. Sat afternoon, Sun & Mon (Pub Hol) will be very crowded (I know). Browsed around the Children's Dept & managed to get 2 cute T-shirts for baby. Then hb get himself another shoe... !
Night :
Got free tickets to view the closing film for the Fest... a Singapore film directed by Bad Boy Royston Tan... titled "4.30".
Oh my ! how to describe this film ? Abt. a lonely boy's days....
STAGNANT, NO DEVELOPMENT, SLOW..... BOOooorringgg.....
.... Help ! my brain is frozen !!
What's the message ? What's the story ?
Is this "NewWave" movie ?... Nope! I don't think so... this movie got No Wave at all, not even a ripple !

To all Mr Royston answered.. "that's the mystery..blah, blah... Oh! u hv to watch the film again to get the clues.."
Oh what the Heck ! who wanted to watch the film again... not even if u pay me $10/- !!, but if u give me above $50/- - I'll watch again ... Hehehe...
Glad the Film Festival is over.... now hb will hv time off !
